Microwave ablation therapy device

•    Product Introduction
The Animal Microwave Ablation Therapy System, also known as the Animal Microwave Ablator, is currently recognized as one of the most efficient instruments for tumor ablation therapy. With advantages such as short ablation time, wide ablation range, and effective therapeutic outcomes, it is considered an ideal treatment device.
The system ensures high safety, minimal bleeding, and rapid recovery for pets. Microwave ablation is a precise minimally invasive technology with minimal trauma and high intraoperative efficiency in tissue inactivation. The ablation needle is made of heat-resistant and anti-adhesion materials, reducing collateral thermal injury to surrounding tissues.
The Atpio Xianou Aichong Series Microwave Ablation System can eliminate various tumor tissues without surgical excision. Under ultrasound guidance and real-time monitoring, the ablation needle is precisely inserted into the lesion site. The needle emits microwaves that cause molecular friction and collisions, generating thermal effects. When the tissue temperature exceeds 60°C and is maintained for more than two minutes, tumor cells are effectively destroyed.

•    Application Scope
•    Institutions: Veterinary hospitals, scientific research, and educational institutions
•    Applicable animals: Dogs, cats, pigs, and exotic pets

•    Principle of Microwave Ablation
Microwave ablation delivers high-frequency electromagnetic waves to tumor tissues via an ablation needle, releasing high-frequency energy into the tumor. Polar molecules within the tissue (mainly water) rotate rapidly under the electromagnetic field, generating large amounts of heat. When the temperature exceeds 60°C, tissue dehydration, coagulation, and protein denaturation occur, leading to irreversible necrosis of tumor cells and achieving the therapeutic effect.

•    Indications
Applicable for thermal coagulation treatment of various solid tumors, including:
•    Melanoma, mast cell tumor, osteosarcoma, adenoma, squamous cell carcinoma, fibrosarcoma, thyroid tumor, perianal gland tumor, schwannoma, mammary gland tumor, injection-site fibrosarcoma, apocrine gland tumor, hepatic tumors, pulmonary tumors, uterine fibroids, and prostatic tumors.
•    Suitable for middle to late-stage tumors, inoperable tumors, postoperative recurrence, or metastatic tumors.
•    Can also be used for palliative debulking therapy, improving quality of life.

•    Advantages of Microwave Ablation & Clinical Applications
•    Broad applicability: Effective for both small and large solid tumors
•    Safe for high-risk patients: Suitable for pets with mammary, thyroid, hepatic, and pulmonary tumors who cannot undergo major surgery due to age, cardiac, or hepatic conditions
•    High precision & intelligence: Faster, more flexible microwave emitter, advanced automation, and rapid temperature monitoring system
•    Palliative treatment: For pets with large or multiple tumors that cannot be surgically removed, or when other therapies are ineffective
•    Efficient tissue inactivation: Short procedure time, high thermal efficiency, wide ablation range
•    Repeatable treatment: Suitable for staged or multiple ablation sessions, ensuring pet safety while achieving optimal therapeutic outcomes
Technical Principle:
Microwave ablation (MWA) is a minimally invasive treatment technique in which a microwave ablation needle is percutaneously inserted into tumor tissue under the guidance of imaging methods such as ultrasound or CT. Polar molecules within the tissue rapidly oscillate under the influence of the microwave electromagnetic field, generating heat through friction. When the center of the tumor around the ablation needle rapidly heats to 45–65°C, the proteins in cancer cells are completely denatured and necrotic, achieving the therapeutic effect. This method is suitable for solid tumors such as liver cancer, lung cancer, pulmonary nodules, breast tumors, uterine fibroids, kidney cancer, thyroid nodules, and bone tumors.
Indications:
MWA is suitable for relatively large tumors and has better efficacy for liver cancer, lung cancer, and other tumors with a diameter greater than 5 cm.
Advantages:
•    Rapid heating: It can quickly reach temperatures sufficient to kill tumor cells, resulting in a relatively short treatment time.
•    Large ablation range: It is more effective than radiofrequency ablation for treating larger tumors.
